There are lots of ways to get rid of weeds, but you’ll never get rid of them for good, things will always pop up next season, or even next week! If you’re going to have to deal with weeds for the foreseeable future, it would be an excellent idea for you to look into some eco-friendly ways to take them out. Traditional weed-killer is very effective, but it contains a lot of harsh chemicals that can have lasting effects on our bodies, our lawns, our environments, even our pets or animals just passing through! There are a lot of easy methods to take care of the weeds while staying green!

JUST PULL THEM OUT

This certainly isn’t a quick fix, but pulling the weeds and maintaining them is a tried and true method. When you take the time to pull the entire weed out along with it’s roots, you’re ensuring there is nothing left in the ground to grow back. You will also appreciate your yard more for it!

BOILING WATER

The next time you boil a pot of water to cook, instead of dumping the water down the sink, go pour the pot out on a few weeds and they’ll be gone within just a few days!

HOME MIX

An excellent home mix you can make that won’t harm any animal life is quick to make, and you probably already have the ingredients around! You’ll simply mix.

– 1 Gallon of Vinegar
– 2 Cups of Epsom salt
– ¼ cup of dish soap

Spray your mix anywhere you don’t want to see green! This stuff isn’t just weed-killer, it’s green killer, so don’t spray it on anything you intend on keeping it around.
